FAA Evaluations
The FAA may require a commercial pilot, private pilot, pilot applicant, air traffic controller (ATC) or air traffic controller applicant to undergo psychological or neuropsychological evaluation as a means to determine their fitness to perform their duties safely. Evaluation requests are guided by the Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and may be requested by the FAA, an aviation medical examiner (AME), Regional Flight Surgeon, airline employer, or by the applicant or pilot.
